1975 911S [no longer] For Sale
The car, several years ago, just after a waxing.
It never really looked this good...
Rust free, straight and unwrecked California car with an almost-dead
motor, 155K miles on the chassis. A great candidate
for restoration or a racecar conversion. This car is not suitable for
use as is--it's driveable, but isn't likely to stay that way for long.
The drivetrain is tired, and it's probably going to quit running in
another couple hundred miles. If you're looking for a driver, look
elsewhere, and don't waste your time and mine.

Faded and spotty Peru Red paint, now better described as "brick shithouse
red". Nothing short of sanding and repainting will help. A
few little dings and dents, nothing ghastly.

2.7L motor, 50K on a serious rebuild (Dilavars, Euro p&c, SC cams).
Runs poorly, low oil pressure (25 psi@4000 rpm), ignition system is going,
alternator is almost dead, fuel system is questionable. The heads
are probably OK. Has '73 heat exchangers (the good ones), is missing
most of the emissions controll stuff (egr, thermal reactors).

Tired transmission: 1st, 2nd & 3rd gear synchros are shot, and the
clutch is fairly old.

Tan interior (minus seats) is in good condition. One small rip in
the headliner, one crack in the dash, one cigarette burn on the carpet,
a few scuffs in the back seat area (P.O. used to put his bike back there).

California Residents: Due to CA's draconian smog laws, I will
only sell the car as a roller (no engine) to a CA buyer. Otherwise
I leave myself open to liability in perpetuity. I will make no exceptions
unless a) I trust you like a brother, or b) you post a $10,000 bond returnable
upon completion of a full restoration of the car (ie., you make it absolutely
streetable to CARB's satisfaction).
