Photography: PGE Pole Replacement

PGE came by on a sunny Sunday to do an emergency replacement of the power pole next to the fence in my neighbor’s back yard. It was quite the show: six big blue PGE trucks & two pickups. Plus the giant crane and its attendant semi-truck for hauling the counterweights. A dozen men working from 9-5.

The two linemen working up the pole, Austin & Omar were apprentices, so the journeymen got to relax in my patio chairs and supervise.
